This Privacy Policy explains how Savings Collaborative collects, uses, and discloses personal information when you access our website at www.savingscollaborative.org or our mobile application (the “SC App”).

By accessing or using any part of the Savings Collaborative Service (or by clicking to accept or agree to the Savings Collaborative Terms and Conditions when this option is made available to you), you signify that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. Personal Information We Collect

The personal information we collect from and about you may vary depending on how you engage with the Savings Collaborative and the information you provide voluntarily.

1.Information You Provide
We may collect personal information directly from you or otherwise in connection with your use of our service, including:

  • Contact Information, including your name, email address, phone number, the contents of the message or attachments you may send us, and any other information you may provide.
  • Inquiry Information,including information provided in messages sent through forms or surveys, to our email addresses, or via phone. This also may include information provided when you sign up for our newsletters.
  • Testimonial Informationincluding your name, other nonidentifiable information, and a statement regarding our services.


  • 2.Information from Third-Party Sources We may receive personal information about you from third parties and combine this information with other information we have.
  • Social Media and Professional Networks.When an individual interacts with us through social media and professional networks, such as when someone communicates with us through Facebook, we may receive information about the individual that they permit the network to share with third parties. The data we receive may depend upon an individual’s privacy settings with the network. Individuals should always review and, if necessary, adjust their privacy settings on third-party websites and networks before sharing information with us or the social media and professional network platforms.
  • How We Use Personal Information We Collect

    We use the personal information we collect for our business purposes, including the following:

    1.To communicate with you, such as to respond to your comments and questions, provide customer service or feedback, troubleshoot problems, or for any other purposes in connection with our services;

    4.For market and demographics/audience research and project planning;

    How We Share Information Collected

    We may share your personal information in the following ways:

  • Internal use.Savings Collaborative requires information to provide its services. This information may include Personally Identifiable Information ('PII'). PII is any information that can be used to identify, contact, or locate an individual, either alone or combined with other easily accessible sources. Savings Collaborative staff and officers can access users' PII to process and provide the Savings Collaborative process and benefits. All Savings Collaborative staff and officers are bound by a Confidentiality Agreement form signed yearly. Colorado laws protect all users' information, including all PII, under this agreement.

  • Without your explicit consent, we never share personally identifiable information with external third parties. Savings Collaborative may share de-identified, anonymized, or otherwise aggregated personal information to use, analyze, or provide information. Otherwise, with Consent or Direction or via Notice. We may disclose personal information to certain other third parties or the general public with the individual’s consent or otherwise at their direction. For example, we may obtain permission to post a quote about Savings Collaborative or an individual’s testimonial to our public website. Further, we may disclose personal information where notice has been adequately provided as permitted under applicable law (to the extent such notice is not provided in this Privacy Policy or where the activity in question is incompatible with the actions discussed in this Privacy Policy).
  • Data Analytics Providers.We may share information with data analytics providers who analyze statistics and trends relating to our services' usage and activity. These data analytics providers produce reports and make suggestions for our customers and programmatic strategy based on the personal information and other information analyzed.
  • Legal Process and Suspected Fraud.We may share or disclose information collected through our service when Savings Collaborative determines, in its sole discretion, that the disclosure of such information is necessary or authorized under the law; to comply with applicable law or court order, subpoena, or other legal processes; to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, violations of our Terms and Conditions, or situations involving threats to our property or the property or physical safety of any person or third party; to establish, protect, or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.
  • Your Choices

    Electronic Communications
    You can stop receiving text messages from us by clicking on the “unsubscribe link” provided in such communications. You may not opt out of transactional or service-oriented messages sent from the app, as such notifications are required to respond to your requests or to provide goods and services.

    Account Closing
    You may request to close your Savings Collaborative Accounts:
    1. By requesting closing via email to info@savingscollaborative.org for your Savings Account
    2. By speaking by phone with Savings Collaborative staff and sending a text message confirmation requesting deletion of your Savings Account

    We will close your Savings Collaborative Accounts (to the extent applicable) within a reasonable time after receiving your request. Please note that after such closing, we may retain your personal information as reasonably necessary for legal compliance purposes, the establishment, exercise, or defense of any actual or potential legal claims, internal recordkeeping, or other business purposes.

    Log Files

    Savings Collaborative follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit Savings Collaborative’s websites. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any personally identifiable information. The information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
    Cookies
    Savings Collaborative uses 'cookies' to store information, including visitors' preferences and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users' experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors' browser type and other information. Specific browsers may allow an individual to: (i) change their browser settings to notify the individual when they receive a cookie, which may let the individual choose whether or not to accept it; (ii) disable existing cookies; or (iii) set their browser to reject cookies automatically. Note that similar controls may exist for other tracking technologies, such as the ability to restrict the collection of certain mobile advertising technologies under specific device settings.     The Savings Collaborative website may contain links to and from third-party digital properties, tools, or services of our partners (including social media sites). If you follow any of these links or otherwise utilize these tools or services, please note that these third parties have their own privacy policies and that we disclaim all responsibility or liability for their policies. We strongly recommend reading their policies to understand how they collect, use, and share information. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or other practices of a third party.

    Information Security

    We utilize measures to help protect information under our control against loss, misuse, and alteration. Please be aware that 100% security is not possible and that you assume the risk concerning any information you provide us.

    Retention of Personal Information

    Savings Collaborative intends to retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to carry out Savings Collaborative’s business purposes for such information. Please note that we may also need to retain your data beyond your account deletion or closure date as reasonably required, at our discretion, by federal, state, or local law or any recordkeeping or reporting obligations.

    Children’s Privacy

    Savings Collaborative does not knowingly collect or solicit any information from anyone under the age of 13 on the Savings Collaborative website and app. If we learn we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under age 13, we will endeavor to delete that information promptly. If you believe a minor in your care has provided us with information, don't hesitate to contact us at info@savingscollaborative.org.

    Updates to Privacy Policy

    Suppose we make any material changes to our privacy practices. We will update the effective date at the top of the Privacy Policy, and you shall be bound to such changes when accessing the Savings Collaborative website and app after the Privacy Policy is updated.
